Beauty Tips 4U! Hair Care Treatment for Dry, Frizzy & Totally Damaged Hair

Hair Care Treatment for Dry, Frizzy & Totally Damaged Hair

My cousin's hair was damaged by her friend and hair stylist, after applying hair color and followed by hair relax two days later(does money ring a bell here?), which absolutely and totally damaged her hair a year ago. As of now, it wasn't the same totally dried, frizzy and dead hair before, it gained a bit of life, since it started to grow out but half the hair is still damaged beyond repair. As such, I have decided to research the internet and look for the best home remedies for this problem hair and I came up with this self-made regimen I made myself, but of course, this is with the help of the online searches that I have done on what makes this or that ingredient work better and how to best apply it. I am planning to add a picture of her before & after look. I am still hoping that this works. If any of you have an idea or comment on how to make this better, I would dearly appreciate it.

Warning: You can apply the said regimen to your hair at your own risk. Although I have made up all the procedures I cannot be 100%sure of the result of this treatment as I am still applying it to my cousin (a work in progress). As such, if you want to apply this regimen, please feel free to apply it but I hope you can tell me the results.

DAY 6 (repeat of day 2)

DAY 7 (There are 4 options to choose from 4 of which are DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENTS)
Option 1 (The usual w/ a few variations or the exact repeat of day 3 except for 10-20 minutes of Hair Treatement)
Shampoo hair as usual & be sure to squeeze excess water out after rinsing.
10-20 minutes of Hair Conditioning. Apply conditioner or hair treatment to hair for about 10-20 minutes.
Vinegar Hair Rinse. Pour/apply the Vinegar (apple cider) Rinse to soaked hair and let it be the last rinse.
Hair Scalp Massage. Massage your hair scalp while you rinse your hair.
Apply Hair Oil Essentials.  Apply a spray or 2 of Palmer’s Olive Oil after shower& in the evening before sleeping.

Option 2 (Recommended at least every 2 months)
Shampoo hair as usual & be sure to squeeze excess water out after rinsing.
Apply Mayonnaise Treatment to your hair. Apply the mayonnaise to hair after rinsing and massage it onto your hair (It's best to do the hair scalp massage in here). Cover your hair with plastic wrapper, plastic bag or a shower cap if you have a lot to spare (I don't think you'd be using it after all the greases gets stuck in there). Leave the mayonnaise on the hair for 15-30 minutes or as desired (some leaves it on for an hour).
Rinse hair thoroughly. There is no need to apply Hair oil essentials since the mayonnaise treatment is already packed full of moisture enriched ingredients.

Option 3 (If you have money to spend)
Hair Spa Treatment. Go to a hair Salon and get a hassle-free & relaxing Hair Spa Treatment. Do this weekly or alternately w/ the Mayonnaise Treatment until you see results. Afterwards, you can maintain your hair w/ a hair spa treatment twice a month.

Option 4
Do nothing & give your hair a rest.. Don’t wash your hair for a day if you can help it. Let your Natural hair oil do its magic in keeping your hair healthier & moisturized. It gives you a break from the damages that your hair encounters from ALL KINDS OF CHEMICALS (yes, even your mild shampoo & conditioner have chemicals that can and will destroy your hair in the long run).

SIDE NOTES:

HAIR SCALP MASSAGE (Best done after shower or during the final rinsing) induces hair growth & conditions your scalp to bring out natural oils from your follicles that can help in growing beautiful tresses.
FRICTION MASSAGE. Using the sole of your fingertips (please, not the nails),  massage your hair in rapid circular motion while applying slight relieving pressure (one that you are comfortable with) to your scalp. Start from the forehead line down to the nape of your neck & make sure to cover the entire hair scalp. Do this for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
KNEADING MASSAGE. Place your fingertips to the sides of your head and rotate the skin, making sure that your fingertips are firmly in place. Move around your head until you have covered the entire scalp. This massage helps stimulate the growth of your hair and keeps the new growing hair healthy. Do this for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Vinegar helps hair color last longer. It is a great alternative for hair conditioner. Keeps hair less frizzy & shinier. A few attests that it made their hair straighter (not rebond straight). Depending on the mixture you use, it can also remove chemicals from rebonded/treated hair. Too much can dry hair but if applied w/ conditioner, it can keep the conditioner locked up in the hair cuticles. Vinegar can also alleviate dandruff problems.

OLIVE OIL is very famous for keeping the hair moisturized. It is nutrient enriched and treats dry & damaged hair.  It also strengthens and increases elasticity of your hair. For best result, you should use extra virgin olive oil.

Mayonnaise. Oil & Eggs in the mixture says it all in how it keeps the hair moisturized best than any other hair treatment. Although on the down side, this is a very greasy regime that is why it is recommended to be seldom used, depending on the hair problem.

HAIR CARE TIPS:
Use wide-toothed wooden comb when brushing your hair especially when wet. Hair brush should only be used on dry hair & styling. If possible, try to avoid plastic hair brush & go for wooden bristle hairbrush (for thick hairs). Should you have money to spare, buy a boar bristle hairbrush.

Trim your hair every 3-6 weeks. It removes split-ends & reduces hair breakage keeping your hair from looking healthier than ever. Also, most people says that it stimulates hair growth. Although this is just a myth, my take on this is that, since your hair ends are healthier after a trim, you don’t worry about it too much every minute of the day, which tends to make time go much faster than hoping, worrying and waiting for it to grow.

Shampoo every other day. Remember this: Commercial shampoo, no matter what kind have harsh chemicals on it that can destroy your hair in the long run. I don’t think I need to stress this enough. If in case you have oily hair, it helps to wash out the greases with a shampoo but keep in mind that you should still give your hair a rest from time to time.
